Visit to MHS Marching Band - 8th Graders only
October 26, 2018
On Friday morning, October 26, 8th graders will take a little field trip to MHS. During this time, students will get a chance to meet the high school band directors. Then they'll buddy up with a high schooler with the same instrument and go through some MHS Marching Band pieces.
They will come to school at normal time and be able to check in with first block (Period 5) for attendance and to pick up/hand in any work. They should check in with Period 6, too, since they will be missing that class entirely. They will be returning at the end of period 7 to check in just before lunch.
What to bring:
- the marching band music I handed out in class (I'll hand out more tomorrow for whoever didn't get it)
- instrument
- a coat
Then we go to a MHS home game!!

8th Graders, please arrive at the MHS band room at 6:00.
(enter through the Performing Arts entrance in the parking lot to the right)
Attire: Just dress warmly!
What to bring: Your instrument, your MHS music, and cell phones to call your parents for pick up (if they're not staying)
8th Graders will meet in the MHS band room, where they'll warm up with the high schoolers and get a wrist band. This allows them to get into the game for free. Parents, if you're staying for the game, you'll have to pay (sorry!).
WWMS will play along with MHS in the stands during the first half of the game. Then, they'll watch the MHS half-time show and see how it's done!! After that, WWMS students are free to get snacks, kep playing with MHS, watch the rest of the game, or call parents for pick up.
